Base Salary

$124k - $150k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot secure software components with consideration for upstream and downstream technical implications.
  • Develop backend services using Java, Spring Boot, Spring WebFlux, Python, or comparable technologies.
  • Contribute to user-interface development using React or another modern JavaScript framework.
  • Build APIs and event-driven integrations using Kafka.
  • Build and support cloud workloads using AWS services including ECS, EKS, Fargate, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, MSK, ElastiCache, and Amazon Bedrock.
  • Develop cloud-native applications with scalability, resiliency, fault tolerance, high availability, and automated recovery.
  • Support containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Contribute to infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or equivalent technologies.
  • Use enterprise-authorized AI coding and automation tools while validating generated outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 2+ years of applied experience.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, or another modern programming language.
  • Hands-on experience developing and deploying applications on at least one major public-cloud platform, preferably AWS.
  • Experience with AWS services including ECS, EKS, Fargate, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, MSK, ElastiCache, CloudWatch, IAM, API Gateway, and Amazon Bedrock.
  • Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring WebFlux, Python, or React.
  • Knowledge of generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, embeddings, vector databases, AI agents, and retrieval-augmented generation.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
  • Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle and exposure to agile methodologies, continuous integration and delivery, application resiliency, and security.
  • Preferred familiarity with OpenAI-compatible APIs, Amazon Bedrock, LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, or similar AI frameworks.
  • Preferred AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Developer – Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, AWS Certified AI Practitioner, or equivalent cloud certification.
