Base Salary
$70k - $126k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build microservices supporting the platform’s Sense, Predict, Orchestrate, and Measure operating model.
- Integrate real-time data feeds from air traffic control, manifests, border processing, detection and security systems, kiosks, and e-Gates.
- Contribute to the AI Detection Algorithm Marketplace for evaluating and deploying detection algorithms.
- Develop features for staffing allocation, checkpoint and lane management, passenger routing, exception management, communications, alerting, reporting, and predictive maintenance.
- Collaborate with systems engineering, product delivery, DevSecOps, and QA teams in an Agile/SAFe environment.
- Write clean, tested code and use AI-assisted tools to improve development speed and quality.
- Troubleshoot distributed systems, perform performance tuning, and support continuous improvement.
- Implement unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end automated testing strategies.
Requirements
- BS/BA degree with four years of related experience, a master’s degree with two years of related experience, or four years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least one year of software development experience supporting a related border or aviation customer, such as TSA, CBP/ICE, eu-LISA, Frontex, airport operators, or airlines.
- Hands-on experience with microservices and at least one of Java, Python, or C++.
- Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools and/or AI/ML-enabled systems.
- Experience enhancing and maintaining existing software while preserving operational stability.
- Ability to navigate large, complex distributed systems and translate them into higher-level architecture.
- Understanding of APIs and distributed systems, along with Agile experience.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a favorable Public Trust investigation.
- Preferred experience with SAFe, Kafka or event streaming, AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and DevSecOps.
