Base Salary
$123k - $166k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with account teams throughout the sales cycle as a technical advisor and product advocate.
- Analyze customer AI and data architectures to identify where Alation can add value.
- Lead discovery sessions focused on business, data, and governance challenges.
- Own the technical scope and outcomes of proof-of-value engagements, pilots, and adoption workshops.
- Deliver tailored full-platform demonstrations and focused technical deep dives.
- Translate AI and platform architecture concepts into actionable business terms.
- Discuss Alation integration with customer data and cloud platforms including Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Build data-backed value stories connecting technical capabilities to business impact and supporting evaluations through close.
- Apply data and AI governance perspectives to customer conversations.
- Partner with account teams to identify expansion opportunities.
Requirements
- 6–8 years of experience in technical delivery, solutions consulting, or forward-deployed customer-facing roles at data or AI platform companies.
- Strong understanding of AI technologies, architecture, LLMs, agent patterns, and the broader data ecosystem.
- Working knowledge of Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, GCP, and Azure sufficient to discuss integrations and architecture with technical teams.
- Prior exposure to data or AI governance concepts is preferred.
- Proven experience engaging enterprise stakeholders and communicating value to both technical practitioners and business leaders in pre- or post-sale settings.
- Ability to turn ambiguous technical and business requirements into clear evaluation plans or delivery roadmaps.
- Hands-on development experience is not required, but candidates must demonstrate strong technical credibility.

- United States base salary range of $122,681.00–$165,619.00.
