Base Salary
$160k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain a production-grade consumer Android application.
- Contribute to platform-level architecture and scale core app infrastructure.
- Solve engineering challenges while balancing product quality and delivery speed.
- Partner with product and design to shape new features and user experiences.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders on shared objectives.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior mobile engineers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional mobile app development experience, including 2 or more years shipping production Android applications.
- Strong Kotlin expertise and hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose and modern architecture patterns such as MVVM or Clean Architecture.
- Experience integrating Firebase Authentication, Firestore or Realtime Database, and Cloud Messaging.
- Familiarity with protobufs, REST, and gRPC for mobile backend integration.
- Proficiency with Android unit, instrumentation, and UI testing strategies and mobile CI/CD pipeline maintenance.
- Experience building consumer-facing mobile products.
- At least 3 years of experience working in a startup environment.
- Proven mentorship or technical leadership experience guiding junior engineers.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, ideally supported by a rigorous university background.
- Clear communication and a collaborative approach to cross-functional work.
