Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and document Cribl pipelines for telemetry routing, normalization, enrichment, filtering, and fanout.
- Develop and manage Cribl packs that standardize pipeline logic across teams and signal types.
- Deliver platform backlog features through design, implementation, testing, and documentation.
- Implement and maintain OpenTelemetry collector configurations for metrics, logs, traces, and events.
- Design ClickHouse schemas and build Grafana dashboards and alerting configurations.
- Develop integrations with Datadog, BigPanda, and other downstream systems using APIs and automation.
- Write Terraform infrastructure-as-code and contribute to CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
- Participate in code reviews and improve platform documentation, onboarding, and self-service processes.
Requirements
- Hands-on production experience building and operating Cribl pipelines, routes, and packs.
- Experience in software or platform engineering delivering production-quality features in a team environment.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including readable code, testing, version control, and code reviews.
- Experience developing integrations using REST APIs or event-driven patterns.
- Familiarity with Terraform, CI/CD pipeline tooling, and telemetry concepts such as metrics, logs, traces, cardinality, retention, and pipeline design.
- Ability to work from a product-style backlog and engage proactively with requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Preferred experience includes CriblCloud or Cribl Edge, internal platforms, ClickHouse SQL or similar analytical query languages, cloud or hybrid deployments, GitOps, and regulated or large-enterprise technology environments.
