Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design, development, and delivery of complex native iOS features, applications, reusable components, frameworks, SDKs, and platform capabilities.
- Build secure, scalable, performant, accessible, and reliable mobile experiences using Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, Xcode, and Apple iOS SDKs.
- Integrate backend services and APIs using REST, GraphQL, WebSocket, authentication services, and modern service patterns.
- Integrate LLMs, Generative AI, AI agents, streaming responses, tool/function calling, structured outputs, and multimodal capabilities into mobile applications.
- Develop reusable patterns, APIs, SDKs, frameworks, and standards for AI-powered mobile experiences and AI-native engineering.
- Use and champion AI-assisted engineering tools and workflows for requirements, architecture, coding, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and code review.
- Improve build and release reliability, testing, security scanning, observability, deployment workflows, and operational excellence.
- Diagnose production issues involving crashes, performance, networking, concurrency, memory management, and application stability.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to architecture reviews, technical documentation, communities of practice, and cross-team technical decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant Information Technology experience, or 7+ years of relevant Information Technology experience in lieu of a degree.
- Deep production experience developing native iOS applications with Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, Xcode, and Apple iOS SDKs.
- Experience designing, building, and supporting production-scale iOS applications and reusable iOS components, frameworks, SDKs, or shared libraries.
- Knowledge of iOS architecture patterns including MVVM, Clean Architecture, modularization, dependency injection, and coordinator-based navigation.
- Experience with Swift concurrency, async/await, actors, GCD, reactive programming, asynchronous networking, performance, security, accessibility, observability, and release engineering.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs, microservices, authentication services, API gateway patterns, and modern backend services.
- Hands-on experience integrating Generative AI and LLM capabilities, including LLM APIs, prompt engineering, tool/function calling, structured outputs, or AI agents.
- Demonstrated productive use of GitHub Copilot or equivalent AI-assisted development tools.
- Experience with CI/CD, build automation, code signing, provisioning, test automation, release workflows, and XCTest or XCUITest.
- Working knowledge of Android development, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Android architecture concepts is preferred.
- Preferred experience includes OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, MCP, RAG, LangGraph, LangChain, mobile CI/CD tools, on-device AI, observability platforms, accessibility standards, and regulated or financial-services environments.
- Strong system design, debugging, analytical, problem-solving, technical communication, collaboration, and technical-influence skills, with experience in Agile delivery environments such as SAFe.
Benefits
- Work timing is 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST, with an Enhanced Flexibility arrangement.
- Availability is required during 6:00 AM to 11:30 AM Eastern Time for meetings with India and US teams; remaining hours are flexible, with periodic exceptions for business needs.
