Base Salary
$243k - $295k/yr
Responsibilities
- Create libraries for fault tolerance and resilience, including retries, circuit breakers, and adaptive concurrency limits.
- Build and standardize process automation, platform tooling, and golden-path support for the Roblox ecosystem.
- Develop production guardrails, including load-testing tools for evaluating release capacity before deployment.
- Create performance monitoring and observability services to identify capacity issues and platform degradations.
- Build production monitoring and generalized canarying services with alerting.
- Collaborate with partners and contribute to large project lifecycles, milestones, sprints, and status reporting.
Requirements
- BS degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 4 years of experience in software engineering, with Site Reliability Engineering or SRE experience advantageous.
- Experience building reliable software and tools and driving their adoption across a tooling ecosystem.
- Experience programming in common languages such as Go, C#, or Java.
- Strong systems focus, problem-solving ability, data-driven investigation skills, and experience handling complex technical issues.
- Experience working on large project lifecycles, including sprints, milestones, and project status reporting.
