Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for domain teams across architecture, design, performance, code quality, resilience, scalability, and engineering standards.
- Participate in Scrum teams by designing, developing proofs of concept, testing, deploying, and supporting software.
- Design and implement React-based UI components for highly interactive user experiences.
- Optimize frontend applications for speed, scalability, and reuse using responsive web development principles.
- Drive API definition for communication with backend systems.
- Collaborate with UX designers to improve end-user experiences.
- Lead offshore engineering teams to meet functional requirements, quality, performance, and code stability goals.
- Define best practices, technical skills, training, tools, and technology adoption plans for engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field and six years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree and four years of experience, or a Ph.D. and one year of experience.
- Six years of experience across the full software development lifecycle, scalable high-volume systems, client-facing web applications, and multi-user transactional applications.
- Six years of experience with API and service design, object-oriented programming, software development best practices, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Six years of experience using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Single Page Applications, web services, RESTful services, and event-driven architecture.
- Six years of experience with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, React, Git, and Stash.
- Six years of experience communicating technical issues to technical, non-technical, management, and senior leadership audiences.
