Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable solutions for managing databases in virtualized environments and Kubernetes clusters.
- Collaborate with engineering to identify and resolve pain points in managing large-scale database infrastructure.
- Lead the migration of existing database services from VMs to Kubernetes with minimal downtime.
- Support disaster recovery, backup strategies, and performance tuning for on-premise database systems.
- Implement and manage observability, logging, and alerting systems.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in infrastructure operations, especially in Linux-based systems.
- Expertise in at least one deployment and orchestration technology like Kubernetes, Ansible, or Terraform.
- Skills in scripting languages such as Bash or Python for automating workflows.
- Hands-on experience managing relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL.
