Base Salary
$150k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure Kubernetes-based infrastructure for data platform workloads.
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and GitOps delivery patterns.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible.
- Collaborate with software engineers to understand service architectures and contribute code-level changes.
- Support and optimize data streaming and processing pipelines using technologies like Kafka and Flink.
- Implement and manage platform observability using monitoring and logging tools.
- Apply and enforce DevSecOps practices in regulated environments.
- Manage and debug complex Helm chart deployments and Kubernetes networking.
- Support operations across multiple deployment targets, including cloud and on-premises.
- Write clean automation and tooling in Java or Go to improve platform operations.
- Engage directly with customers in demanding operational locations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps or platform engineering roles.
- 5+ years of production experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI.
- Experience supporting data-intensive platforms using streaming technologies.
- Solid understanding of data engineering fundamentals and ETL/ELT pipeline design.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tooling, particularly Terraform.
- Strong Helm proficiency for complex multi-service deployments.
- Hands-on experience with platform observability tooling.
- Demonstrable software development skills in Java and/or Go.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or Azure.
- Strong systems thinking and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience applying secure deployment practices in regulated environments.
- Active Secret clearance required; must be eligible for TS/SCI clearance.
- Ability to obtain Security+ certification within 90 days.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
