Responsibilities
- Build, extend, improve, and maintain metadata search, KV store indexing, and related product features.
- Architect and troubleshoot system-level components, especially file systems and storage systems.
- Design and develop in C/C++ with minimal supervision and under tight deadlines.
- Define and communicate detailed technical designs.
- Handle full application development from design through development, testing, deployment, and production defect resolution.
- Research technical problems, document findings, derive conclusions, and design solutions.
- Participate in technical reviews and use AI tools to improve development productivity.
- Mentor junior developers and support team leadership.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in system software development and complex problem resolution.
- Expert knowledge of C/C++.
- Strong understanding of data structures, distributed systems, performance issues, Linux file systems, operating-system principles, and kernel procedures.
- Excellent Linux development and deployment skills, including file-system development.
- Experience designing and developing parallel programs.
- Experience with open-source development tools including gcc, gdb, g++, and git.
- Good knowledge of databases and SQL, particularly for senior candidates.
- Experience mentoring junior developers and leading a team for senior candidates.
- Strong communication skills in written and spoken English.
- Ability to use AI tools effectively throughout product development.
