Responsibilities
- Collaborate with peers and stakeholders through design and code reviews to ensure code quality, accuracy, testability, efficiency, and adherence to style guidelines.
- Contribute to documentation and educational content and update it based on product changes and user feedback.
- Triage, debug, track, and resolve product or system issues by analyzing impacts on hardware, networks, service operations, and quality.
- Implement solutions in specialized ML areas using ML infrastructure and contribute to model optimization and data processing.
- Influence the future of Google’s ML infrastructure and advance generative and discriminative technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Two years of software development experience in one or more programming languages, or one year of experience with an advanced degree.
- One year of experience with speech/audio, reinforcement learning, ML infrastructure, or another ML specialization.
- One year of experience with ML infrastructure, such as model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, or debugging.
- Preferred: master’s degree or PhD in computer science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: two years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: experience developing accessible technologies.
- Experience with custom kernel debugging and performance tuning is a strong bonus.
