Responsibilities
- Design and implement hybrid cloud solutions on AWS and Azure for pharmaceutical workloads.
- Architect and deploy containerized applications using Kubernetes, including EKS and AKS.
- Build Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, observability, GitOps, disaster recovery, FinOps, and self-service automation capabilities.
- Deploy AI/ML infrastructure, data pipelines, model-serving infrastructure, GPU clusters, and AIOps platforms.
- Lead technical architecture discussions and provide consultative guidance to Digital R&D, Manufacturing, Corporate, Enterprise Architecture, and digital partner teams.
- Define technical patterns, standards, solution design methodologies, reference architectures, and implementation guides.
- Help establish and grow the Solutions Engineering practice, including participating in hiring and mentoring engineers.
- Drive intelligent operations capabilities such as predictive analytics, anomaly detection, automated remediation, capacity planning, and self-healing systems.
- Travel approximately 10% for digital partner engagement and strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in enterprise infrastructure and engineering roles with increasing technical leadership.
- Deep production-scale expertise in AWS and Azure, hybrid cloud architecture, enterprise infrastructure, and advanced Kubernetes, including EKS and AKS.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, security scanning, compliance validation, observability, monitoring, logging, alerting, and distributed tracing.
- Experience guiding cross-functional technical decisions, developing standards and best practices, communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and mentoring engineering talent.
- Preferred experience includes AI/ML infrastructure, model serving, training clusters, data pipelines, AIOps, SageMaker, Azure ML, regulated industries, GxP compliance, multi-cloud governance, FinOps, and Site Reliability Engineering practices.
- Preferred certifications include AWS Solutions Architect Professional, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, AWS Machine Learning Specialty, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure AI Engineer Associate, CKA, CKAD, Terraform Associate, TOGAF, and ITIL.
