Responsibilities
- Set the long-term technical strategy and roadmap for build, CI, source control, and development environments.
- Build and operate scalable developer infrastructure focused on speed, safety, reliability, and increasing operational loads.
- Lead developer onboarding and development-environment strategy to reduce time-to-first-commit.
- Standardize build and CI patterns across engineering teams and improve engineering productivity.
- Mentor engineers, conduct design reviews, and establish operational best practices.
Requirements
- Extensive production experience designing, scaling, and operating developer infrastructure or high-volume build and CI systems.
- Deep expertise in modern build systems such as Bazel, distributed or remote build execution, and CI/CD at scale.
- Strong programming proficiency in Go or Python and experience building reliable, maintainable system software.
- Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives from conception through completion and align execution with company objectives.
- Strong communication, collaboration, mentorship, and technical advocacy skills.
