Responsibilities
- Drive adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices and establish standards for validating AI-generated outputs.
- Apply SDLC tooling, automation, and AI-assisted development capabilities to improve engineering outcomes.
- Architect and implement resilient, scalable, fault-tolerant, low-latency services and target-state architecture.
- Design and deploy enterprise-integrated services meeting functional, performance, security, governance, auditability, and scalability requirements.
- Lead and mentor development teams while managing deliverables across business groups and strengthening stakeholder relationships.
- Collaborate with business users, subject matter experts, architects, DBAs, and system administrators to design solutions and resolve issues.
- Build ML pipelines and platform capabilities for fraud detection and risk assessment, including feature-store patterns and delivery pipelines.
- Productionalize models created by data scientists and establish validation and quality controls before live use.
- Create monitoring and alerting for ML platform performance, scalability, availability, and reliability.
- Build agentic AI services for engineering and model-operations workflows with tool integration, orchestration, state management, and traceability.
- Define production guardrails and evaluation approaches for agentic AI quality, safety, latency, and cost.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
- 10+ years of recent hands-on software development experience in large-scale distributed systems, primarily using Python, Java, J2EE, and modern Java/Spring Boot microservices.
- 3+ years of experience developing in Linux environments.
- Experience leading approved AI-assisted software development practices and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Knowledge of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, security, and compliant engineering adoption.
- Strong experience with REST APIs and service-oriented or microservices architecture.
- Strong Kubernetes experience building, deploying, and operating production services.
- Messaging experience with Kafka, MQ, or similar platforms.
- Experience with backend infrastructure patterns such as load balancing and autoscaling.
- Experience with log analytics and observability tools such as ELK and Splunk.
- Exposure to AI/ML platforms, MLOps, feature engineering, model hosting or operationalization, and AWS or hybrid on-premises/cloud environments.
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence senior technology and business stakeholders.
- Knowledge of SDLC practices, CI/CD, application resiliency, security, testing, and operational stability.
- Preferred experience building and operating LLM-driven agents with tool integration, monitoring, telemetry, governance, and audit considerations.
- Preferred experience with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra.
- Preferred experience implementing BERT and Transformer models.
