Base Salary
$175k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement features and performance improvements for highly scalable distributed cloud data pipelines.
- Develop, maintain, and test code for core data-processing services.
- Conduct design and code reviews and resolve performance and scalability challenges.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, customer support, and other stakeholders to deliver a high-quality product.
- Participate periodically in the on-call rotation.
- Participate in the hiring process and mentor junior developers.
- Improve the reliability and security of customers’ data infrastructure.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software industry experience solving complex software engineering problems.
- Experience designing and developing reusable libraries and experimentation platforms for backend and frontend systems from scratch.
- Experience with distributed systems, code reviews, software design, troubleshooting, testing, and performant code development.
- Ability to lead software design to satisfy project requirements.
- Programming experience in an object-oriented or systems language such as Java, C++, or C#.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience interacting with continuous integration tools such as Buildkite.
- Knowledge of New Relic or Grafana is preferred.
- Knowledge and usage of AI tools is preferred.
