Responsibilities
- Develop, code, install, test, debug, and document web applications.
- Support Fidelity Canada’s web properties and related applications through production release and ongoing operations.
- Work across back-end and front-end development using the stated technology stack.
- Ensure the security, stability, performance, and service delivery of websites and applications.
- Collaborate with team architects, developers, and business partners.
- Participate in Scrum meetings and communicate effectively with business stakeholders.
- Advise, guide, challenge, and support technical decisions.
Requirements
- A university degree, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent working experience.
- At least 2 years of software development experience.
- Working knowledge of React or Angular, Java, Spring or Spring Boot, REST or SOAP APIs, JavaScript, HTML or HTML5, XHTML, CSS or CSS3, jQuery, and SQL or PLSQL.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps and the complete software development life cycle through production release and support.
- Current authorization to work in Canada.
- Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, innovative problem-solving ability, and the capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
- AWS cloud and Content Management System experience are assets.
- Prior investment or mutual fund experience is an asset.
