Responsibilities

  • Develop, code, install, test, debug, and document web applications.
  • Support Fidelity Canada’s web properties and related applications through production release and ongoing operations.
  • Work across back-end and front-end development using the stated technology stack.
  • Ensure the security, stability, performance, and service delivery of websites and applications.
  • Collaborate with team architects, developers, and business partners.
  • Participate in Scrum meetings and communicate effectively with business stakeholders.
  • Advise, guide, challenge, and support technical decisions.

Requirements

  • A university degree, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent working experience.
  • At least 2 years of software development experience.
  • Working knowledge of React or Angular, Java, Spring or Spring Boot, REST or SOAP APIs, JavaScript, HTML or HTML5, XHTML, CSS or CSS3, jQuery, and SQL or PLSQL.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps and the complete software development life cycle through production release and support.
  • Current authorization to work in Canada.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, innovative problem-solving ability, and the capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
  • AWS cloud and Content Management System experience are assets.
  • Prior investment or mutual fund experience is an asset.
