Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for cloud engineering and DevSecOps initiatives.
- Build and manage Kubernetes/EKS and AWS cloud-native environments.
- Implement infrastructure automation with Terraform and GitOps using FluxCD.
- Use GitLab CI/CD, service mesh technologies, and internal developer platform practices.
- Implement cloud-native security controls including IAM, secrets management, and network policies.
- Apply metrics, logs, traces, and observability practices to platform operations.
- Integrate AI into platform engineering practices and support AI-native development.
- Work autonomously and collaboratively in complex, undefined environments while delivering results.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience.
- Expertise with Kubernetes and EKS.
- Experience with AWS, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, service mesh, and GitOps with FluxCD.
- Understanding of cloud-native security, including IAM, secrets management, and network policies.
- Strong understanding of metrics, logs, traces, and observability platforms.
- AI-native experience and maturity in AI development.
- Technical leadership, autonomy, communication, collaboration, and delivery orientation.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and consulting is a plus.
- Knowledge of Kong Mesh/Kuma, CloudFront, microservices architecture, Internal Developer Platforms, Backstage, GCP, Azure, AI integration for platform engineering, or cloud platform certification is preferred.

- Annual base salary of CAD 100K to CAD 115K, depending on experience and location.
