Base Salary
$150k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Diagnose ambiguous technical problems and own deployment requests from triage through completion.
- Build one-off tools and pipelines to address urgent customer and partner problems.
- Coordinate with research and go-to-market teams to unblock deployments.
- Document recurring issues and convert manual work into reusable tools and processes.
- Work directly with technical customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams on urgent production and deployment issues.
Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of experience in applied research engineering, forward-deployed engineering, or a closely related hands-on technical role.
- Proficiency in Python, Docker, and Linux environments.
- Experience with benchmarks and evaluations, including task realism, rubric reliability, and trajectory quality for reinforcement learning data and AI agents.
- Strong debugging skills across code, data, and environments.
- Ability to work independently in ambiguous situations and exercise sound judgment under time pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration across time zones.
- Experience in an early-stage startup or similarly fast-paced environment is expected.
