Responsibilities
- Design and build operational data systems including pipelines, storage layers, and APIs.
- Balance streaming and batch paradigms for low-latency enforcement and clarity.
- Integrate external data sources and enable policy evaluation.
- Surface insights in dashboards and APIs.
- Collaborate with founders and engineers to shape data architecture.
Requirements
- Strong experience in designing resilient data pipelines.
- Proficiency in Python, Go, and/or Rust.
- Experience with Kafka, Parquet, and Iceberg.
- Ability to thrive in 0→1 environments and make hard trade-offs.
- Strong communication skills and ability to lead by example.
