Responsibilities

  • Design and build operational data systems, pipelines, storage layers, and APIs.
  • Balance streaming and batch processing for enforcement, feedback loops, and customer insights.
  • Support both transactional identity services and OLAP use cases for security-posture analysis.
  • Integrate external data sources and enable policy evaluation.
  • Surface insights through dashboards and APIs.
  • Collaborate directly with founders, product, and engineers building core services and SDKs.
  • Shape Keycard’s data architecture and contribute to technical excellence in a 0-to-1 environment.

Requirements

  • Strong experience designing resilient data pipelines across streaming and batch paradigms.
  • Ability to satisfy both transactional and analytical data requirements, including low-latency enforcement use cases.
  • Fluency in Python, Go, and/or Rust, with experience using Kafka, Parquet, and Iceberg.
  • Ability to design APIs, pipelines, and storage systems end to end.
  • Experience building developer-facing APIs, SDKs, or tools is beneficial.
  • Contributions to open-source data infrastructure projects such as Kafka, Flink, or Iceberg are beneficial.
  • Experience with agent-oriented tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or MCP is beneficial.
  • Strong interest in the intersection of data, identity, and agents.
