Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Selenium, Java, Cucumber BDD, and Cypress.
- Build and execute API automation tests using Rest Assured and Postman, including scripting and collection automation.
- Perform SQL-based testing, data validation, and data pipeline quality checks.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and conduct unit, integration, API, smoke, system, and performance testing.
- Manage test data, test planning, and test execution across complex data and cloud environments.
- Work with Oracle, SQL Server, ETL tools, and data warehouse architectures.
- Own QA deliverables from inception and design review through validation and release, including hands-on manual QA.
- Lead and mentor offshore QA engineers and provide structured project and quality updates to management.
- Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and product owners in agile delivery teams.
- Use AI-assisted testing tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude to improve testing efficiency.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience as a QA Automation Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in Selenium, Cucumber BDD, Cypress, and Java.
- Strong API testing and automation experience with Rest Assured and Postman.
- Proficiency in SQL queries and validation across relational databases.
- Experience with Azure and/or AWS ecosystems and CI/CD pipeline-based test automation.
- Working knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, ETL tools, and data warehouse architectures.
- Strong experience in both automated testing and hands-on manual QA.
- Ability to lead and mentor offshore QA engineers and own quality deliverables across the project lifecycle.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, debugging, documentation, and presentation skills.
- A degree or graduate qualification such as BE, B.Tech, M.Tech, BCA, MCA, BSC, or MSC.
