Responsibilities
- Define architectures and develop robust architectural designs for payment-processing solutions.
- Develop new business modules and functions for high-throughput processing.
- Refactor and optimize existing code to improve performance and reduce technical debt.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Agile Team members, and engineers across teams.
- Deliver modular, well-tested software through test automation.
- Own the performance, scalability, and reliability of delivered software.
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, technology, and best practices.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience developing Java applications with Spring and working with complex distributed systems.
- Proven experience with both monolithic and microservice architectures.
- Strong experience scaling applications for large data volumes and high-throughput processing.
- Practical experience with Kubernetes and Kafka.
- Strong knowledge of software engineering practices including TDD/BDD, DDD, OOP, functional programming, clean code, API design, and CI/CD.
- Familiarity with modern deployments and observability through alerts, metrics, and tracing.
- Solid database-design experience and strong working knowledge of SQL.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proactive, team-oriented approach with strong problem-solving skills and an engineering mindset.
