Responsibilities
- Partner directly with customers to model scheduling and planning problems as optimization solutions.
- Configure, extend, and debug the scheduling engine and related components using live customer datasets.
- Build, iterate, and ship customer solutions under tight deadlines.
- Diagnose optimizer performance and quality issues.
- Translate field learnings into product and engineering improvements.
- Develop trusted relationships with customer teams and communicate requirements, trade-offs, and results.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering background with ideally hands-on C#/.NET experience and the ability to modify a large codebase.
- Hands-on experience with constraint programming, mathematical or linear programming, optimization techniques, or algorithm development.
- Comfort working directly with customers, gathering requirements, explaining trade-offs, and presenting results.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in ambiguous, real-world environments.
- Experience designing, building, and shipping production AI applications is required by the broader role description.
- Angular, TypeScript, or another modern frontend framework is preferred.
- Workforce or resource scheduling, large-scale data modeling, enterprise SaaS, or vertical-specific optimization experience is preferred.
