Base Salary

$160k - $240k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Implement guidance and navigation software within commercial off-the-shelf software frameworks
  • Lead the design of guidance software for a clean-sheet airframe
  • Support airframe design activities
  • Integrate software onto flight hardware
  • Collaborate with small engineering teams and work with minimal supervision

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 10 years of professional object-oriented software development experience
  • Experience designing and implementing guidance algorithms for UAS platforms using commercial autopilot frameworks such as ArduPilot
  • Practical understanding of fixed-wing and rotary-wing flight dynamics
  • Extensive experience developing software for STM32 or similar microcontrollers and Linux hosted on Nvidia Jetson, AMD/Xilinx SoC, or Microblaze architectures
  • Experience developing real-time embedded software with hardware interfaces
  • Experience integrating vendor-provided low-level drivers and firmware
  • U.S. Person status required to access U.S.-only data systems
  • Preferred: current or previous DoD security clearance and Part 107 remote pilot certification
  • Preferred: EO/IR and radar sensor integration experience
  • Preferred: VHDL firmware development and embedded software flows on AMD/Xilinx FPGAs
  • Preferred: Git, production-level software development and deployment, DevOps, DevSecOps, or CI/CD experience
  • Preferred: full-lifecycle software development and HW/SW integration, testing, and verification of high-TRL systems
