Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver scalable, maintainable, high-performance software solutions.
- Build and manage robust, secure infrastructure and deployment pipelines for digital banking solutions.
- Develop Java and Spring-based applications with strong SQL integration, APIs, messaging, and microservices architectures.
- Work with blockchain or distributed-ledger technologies, including smart contracts, consensus algorithms, peer-to-peer networking, and decentralized architectures.
- Implement cloud, DevOps, infrastructure as code, containerization, and orchestration capabilities.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, stakeholders, and other business functions to define requirements and deliver outcomes.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and knowledge-sharing activities.
- Apply secure coding practices and manage risks, controls, policies, and governance related to the work.
- Analyze complex information, communicate difficult or sensitive topics, and influence stakeholders.
- Lead teams or guide team members through complex collaborative assignments, as applicable.
Requirements
- Proficiency with Java 17+ and the Spring ecosystem, including Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.
- Strong SQL integration expertise and hands-on experience with API gateways, Apache Kafka, and messaging technologies.
- Knowledge of blockchain or distributed-ledger technology such as Ethereum, including smart contract development, consensus algorithms, peer-to-peer networking, and decentralized architectures.
- Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms and compute, storage, and networking services for hybrid or multi-cloud deployments.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins and infrastructure as code.
- Hands-on Docker and Kubernetes experience for microservices-based architectures.
- Understanding of banking products such as payments, demand deposit accounts, mortgages, and bonds.
- Understanding of software design patterns, engineering fundamentals, and best practices.
- Familiarity with workflow applications, business rules engines, public/private key infrastructure, hashing algorithms, and digital signatures.
- Experience or understanding of writing unit and integration tests.
- Ability to evaluate and select third-party products and understand where they can be deployed.
- Ability to manage risk and controls, think strategically, demonstrate business acumen, and influence stakeholders.
