Base Salary
$113k - $197k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own backend services supporting real-time call flows, carrier integrations, VoIP infrastructure, consumer products, and AI-powered voice pipelines.
- Build testing and validation tooling that simulates calls and gathers results across real devices and global carrier networks.
- Drive Android and iOS SDK improvements, including feature delivery, call-quality metrics, and partner reliability.
- Operate across the stack, progressively taking end-to-end ownership of systems, features, decisions, and delivery.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong depth in TypeScript or Python and demonstrated ability to work meaningfully in other languages.
- Experience with Node.js backend development and modern web service patterns.
- Familiarity with containers, deployment workflows, and infrastructure configurations such as Terraform or Helm.
- Ability to navigate Android or iOS codebases and make focused changes in Kotlin or Swift.
- Experience with VoIP or telephony technologies such as SIP, RTP, or WebRTC is preferred.
- Carrier or B2B platform experience is preferred.
- Experience with Databricks, Kafka, or streaming data pipelines is preferred.
- Familiarity with AWS services including DynamoDB, S3, Kinesis, or EKS is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication, pragmatic judgment, autonomy, reliable execution, and active use of AI-assisted coding tools are expected.
