Responsibilities
- Build and operate low-latency online serving systems for fraud scoring, message decisioning, and real-time personalization.
- Develop ML models for identity resolution, audience intelligence, content and genre preferences, ranking, personalization, and time-series forecasting.
- Implement real-time and batch feature pipelines, integrate model outputs with personalization and activation systems, and productionize ML workflows.
- Implement MLOps capabilities for experiment tracking, model versioning, deployment automation, retraining, monitoring, and drift detection.
- Establish evaluation, experimentation, data quality, calibration, explainability, rollback, observability, and production-readiness practices.
- Partner with engineering, data science, product, platform, advertising, and US-based stakeholders on technical design and delivery.
- Create design documents, readiness reviews, runbooks, and postmortem notes, and support junior engineers through guidance and code reviews.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of ML engineering experience, or 2+ years with a Ph.D., including ownership of production ML components and cross-functional delivery.
- Experience across the ML lifecycle, from problem definition and feature engineering through serving, monitoring, and iteration.
- Experience with optimization problems such as ranking, personalization, forecasting, or multi-objective decisioning.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, Spark, SageMaker, Python, and SQL.
- Experience promoting ML models to production for large user populations and applying engineering and operational best practices.
- Strong proficiency with PyTorch, TensorFlow, XGBoost or LightGBM, and scikit-learn, with a solid grounding in statistics and ML fundamentals.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, statistics, machine learning, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical solutions to engineering, science, product, and business audiences.
- Preferred experience includes streaming, identity, fraud, ad-tech ML, audience modeling, recommendation or ranking, content understanding, real-time feature serving, low-latency inference, mixture-of-experts, graph neural networks, and relevant publications or conference presentations.
