Base Salary
$208k - $350k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive the division’s technical vision, architectural direction, best practices, and quality bar.
- Lead large, ambiguous projects across multiple teams from problem framing and design through implementation, rollout, and operational support.
- Help teams evolve channel stacks and build flexible, robust foundational primitives for sophisticated marketing use cases.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, architecture reviews, pairing, and technical coaching.
- Improve reliability, observability, error handling, incremental rollouts, and incident reduction across dashboard and delivery layers.
- Design and build foundational systems, frameworks, shared platforms, and developer tooling.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including meaningful technical leadership influencing multiple teams or complex product systems.
- Experience with Ruby on Rails and proficiency in modern frontend environments including TypeScript and React.
- Experience designing and shipping frameworks, libraries, infrastructure, or platform services used by multiple engineers.
- Strong architectural judgment and the ability to make technical decisions for a maturing product suite.
- Effective communication and mentoring skills, including translating technical debt into business risk.
- Track record of identifying high-leverage work, building consensus, and completing ambiguous projects with minimal direction.
- Bonus: experience with shared component libraries, design system primitives, real-time systems, event-driven architectures, code generation, scaffolding, CI/CD for large codebases, or scaling products from early stage to enterprise scale.
