Responsibilities
- Lead the development and architecture of agentic AI solutions, including orchestration, tool integration, and reusable enterprise patterns.
- Use AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, ChatGPT, and Codex-style agents across the software development lifecycle.
- Define model evaluation frameworks covering quality, accuracy, safety, and performance, and guide continuous improvement.
- Improve AI output quality through prompt optimization and model tuning.
- Gather business requirements, maintain customer relationships, and review designs with business stakeholders.
- Define application scope and technical or functional specifications, and perform architecture, technical design, and code reviews.
- Deliver application technology solutions, data information planning, system testing, implementation, and production support.
- Lead technology strategy, architecture, infrastructure direction, and enterprise solution decision-making for major business areas.
- Coordinate change requests, enhancements, end-to-end initiative impact, on-call support, and system monitoring.
- Mentor teams and drive adoption of AI-enabled engineering practices across the technology portfolio.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, plus at least 9 years of experience; equivalent combinations of education and experience are also accepted.
- Experience with multidimensional platforms and business and technical applications.
- Experience mentoring others, leading teams or large projects, and providing troubleshooting support is strongly preferred.
- Experience with multiple databases and/or programming languages is strongly preferred.
- Healthcare, payer, claims, clinical, HIPAA, PHI, regulated-industry, or enterprise security experience is preferred.
- Project leadership experience, including Agile project management, Scaled Agile Frameworks, and portfolio management tools, is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain AI concepts to nontechnical audiences are preferred.
- Experience integrating AI into JIRA or similar delivery platforms is preferred.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including cloud-native development, APIs, microservices, CI/CD, automated testing, and secure SDLC, are preferred.
- Experience building or integrating AI agents, tool or function calling, RAG, memory, model routing, evaluations, guardrails, observability, and secure API or tool access is preferred.
- Experience building LLM or SLM applications and reviewing, testing, and hardening AI-generated code is preferred.
