Responsibilities
- Provide e-commerce strategy and guidance for clients replatforming to Shopify.
- Collaborate with clients, account managers, and creative teams to gather requirements, define scopes, and recommend technical solutions.
- Architect and implement custom Shopify themes, features, and functionality.
- Develop and maintain Shopify apps, integrations, and third-party services.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and promote development best practices.
- Identify technical challenges, propose solutions, and resolve issues to improve client outcomes.
- Stay current with Shopify updates, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
- Provide technical leadership from project planning and estimation through execution and delivery.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience developing and customizing Shopify-based e-commerce solutions.
- Shopify Plus experience is required.
- Proficiency with Shopify architecture, themes, Liquid, APIs, and app development.
- Strong expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design.
- Experience leading and managing a team of developers.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and client engagement skills.
- Familiarity with project management tools and version control systems.
- Experience in an agency or consulting environment is preferred.
- Shopify Developer certifications, such as Shopify Plus Certified or Shopify App Developer Certification, are preferred.
