Responsibilities
- Plan and execute software engineering activities to meet technical, quality, schedule, certification, and customer requirements.
- Analyze and manage software and system requirements, implement features, and coordinate technical development activities.
- Design, develop, integrate, maintain, test, debug, and verify embedded avionics display software, algorithms, and application or framework functionality.
- Support software builds, integration, releases, deliveries, certification compliance, and customer acceptance.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, certification, program management, and customer teams, and communicate progress, risks, compliance findings, and corrective actions.
- Improve engineering processes and product quality while providing technical guidance, code reviews, onboarding support, and mentorship.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- At least 2 years of software development experience, including product development and systems or software integration in embedded, real-time, or regulated environments.
- At least 2 years of hands-on C++ development experience in embedded or real-time systems such as DEOS, RTOS, or equivalent environments.
- Experience with software architecture, object-oriented design, algorithms, data structures, and software lifecycle processes covering design, development, verification, and release.
- A technical bachelor’s degree is valued.
- Experience in regulated or safety-critical industries, real-time or mission-critical systems, certification or compliance reviews, requirements-based verification, and technical mentoring is valued.
- Must be a U.S. Person or have the ability to obtain export authorization and be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States.
