Responsibilities
- Serve as an independent evaluator of accounting correctness.
- Engage as a co-equal partner from requirements through release.
- Operate independently on assigned features, leading test planning.
- Work with Product Managers to define expected accounting outcomes.
- Participate in requirements and design reviews as an independent quality voice.
- Evaluate investment accounting workflows through a risk and correctness lens.
- Help teams distinguish between technically valid implementations and operationally correct outcomes.
- Lead domain-focused test planning for various accounting workflows.
- Validate accounting outcomes against expected financial behavior.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve test coverage and release readiness.
- Build strong partnerships across Product, Engineering, and Quality Engineering.
- Mentor teammates on domain-specific quality considerations.
Requirements
- Strong experience in investment accounting or back-office investment operations.
- Ability to identify financial or operational risks beyond standard testing.
- Strong judgment regarding accounting system behavior in complex scenarios.
- Experience working closely with software teams and Product Managers.
- Ability to reason through workflow dependencies and system behavior.
- Strong communication skills for articulating expected outcomes and quality concerns.
- Demonstrated ownership mindset and ability to operate independently.
- Curiosity and willingness to engage with modern software development practices.
