Responsibilities
- Own the Veeva Vault RIM object model, metadata, configuration, and VQL-based data access.
- Support the technical foundation of active gateway submissions and manage risks to submission continuity.
- Define the strategic architecture vision and roadmap for regulatory systems integrations around Veeva Vault.
- Design schemas, integration contracts, and API- and MCP-based access patterns for downstream systems.
- Build and maintain custom integrations using Veeva Vault SDKs/APIs, Python, and Java.
- Design and support data pipelines and system integrations between Veeva platforms and downstream systems.
- Establish reusable architecture patterns, configuration governance, validation, and change-control practices for a GxP-regulated environment.
- Track Veeva AI and Vault AI capabilities and assess build-versus-adopt architecture decisions.
- Partner with regulatory operations, data architecture, and AI/agentic engineering teams.
- Provide technical mentorship and serve as the organization’s go-to expert on Vault architecture.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in Veeva Vault architecture and configuration, including object models, metadata, and VQL.
- Experience designing systems and data architectures, schemas, and integration contracts across regulated platforms.
- Proficiency in Python and Java and hands-on experience with Veeva Vault SDKs/APIs for custom integrations.
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms for scalable and secure architecture, including AWS or Azure.
- Experience building reliable systems around Veeva platforms and designing and supporting data pipelines.
- Basic working knowledge of agentic AI concepts, including agents, orchestration, and tool use.
- Awareness of Veeva’s AI evolution, including Vault AI and related capabilities.
- Familiarity with evolving regulatory data-exchange requirements and their impact on submission architecture.
- Experience partnering with AI/agentic engineering teams on platform-level technology strategy.
- Track record of evolving legacy data models into forward-looking architectures without disrupting live operations.
