Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines that extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources into PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Optimize data ingestion, storage, and retrieval for performance and scalability.
- Develop GraphQL and APIs using FastAPI and integrate with internal and external systems.
- Collaborate with data engineering, DevOps, product, and other cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver solutions.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across data pipelines.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented Python code.
- Monitor, debug, and optimize ETL workflows and APIs in production.
- Apply software engineering and data analysis to improve engineering productivity measurement and developer practices.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of professional Python development experience.
- Strong experience building ETL pipelines and data integration workflows.
- Proficiency with PostgreSQL, including schema design, queries, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on MongoDB experience, including document design, aggregation pipelines, and indexing.
- Experience developing GraphQL and APIs using FastAPI, or Flask/Django REST Framework with willingness to switch to FastAPI.
- Strong understanding of data modeling and database best practices.
- Experience with asynchronous programming in Python.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, and collaborative teamwork skills.
- Experience with Docker and deployment on cloud environments such as OpenShift, AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.
- Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Redis Streams is preferred.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is preferred.
