Responsibilities
- Design and build integrations using request-reply, publish-subscribe, orchestration, choreography, and batch-processing patterns.
- Develop interfaces with MuleSoft, Azure Integration Services, TIBCO, Informatica Cloud, and related platforms.
- Implement data mapping, transformation, enrichment, validation, error handling, reprocessing, reusable connectors, templates, and integration assets.
- Build event-driven integrations with Apache Kafka, Solace, and cloud-native eventing services, including topic, schema, ordering, idempotency, replay, and dead-letter patterns.
- Develop data integration pipelines, change-data-capture and bulk-movement workflows, managed file transfer, secure file exchange, B2B, and EDI integrations.
- Connect SAP, Salesforce, Veeva, manufacturing, laboratory, quality, MES, LIMS, and SCADA systems.
- Own interface availability, throughput, latency, capacity, observability, incident response, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Implement OAuth2, mutual TLS, certificate-based authentication, secure file transfer, secrets management, and certificate management.
- Manage integration artifacts as code and automate build, testing, and deployment through GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
- Build unit, contract, end-to-end, negative, and volume tests and collaborate with business, API, data, cloud, and application teams.
Requirements
- Typically five to eight years of professional experience in integration or middleware engineering.
- Hands-on delivery experience with at least one enterprise integration or iPaaS platform such as MuleSoft, Azure Integration Services, TIBCO, Informatica Cloud, or Boomi.
- Strong knowledge of integration patterns, message design, transformation, and error-handling strategies.
- Experience with event-driven integration using Kafka, Solace, or a comparable platform.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language such as Python, JavaScript, or Java.
- Experience integrating at least one major enterprise system such as SAP, Salesforce, Veeva, Workday, or ServiceNow.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across network, message, transformation, and endpoint layers.
- Clear written and verbal communication in English, including direct work with business stakeholders.
- Preferred experience with managed file transfer, B2B or EDI exchange, data integration, extract-transform-load, change data capture, Kong or another API gateway, and API-led connectivity.
- Preferred experience with GxP-relevant manufacturing or laboratory systems, validated or regulated environments, and GDPR-related data-protection obligations.
- Preferred certifications include MuleSoft Certified Developer, Confluent Kafka Developer, or AWS or Azure associate-level certifications.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
