Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain enterprise Java/J2EE full-stack applications supporting FX trading, post-trading, matching, settlement, and related financial workflows.
- Design, estimate, code, test, support, and own end-to-end delivery of software applications.
- Build performance-critical, low-latency, high-throughput, multithreaded and event-driven systems.
- Lead architecture, design, development, testing, support, integration, reporting, analytics, and application modernization activities.
- Implement cloud-native development, CI/CD, test automation, containerization, and application support practices.
- Coordinate delivery with product teams, global stakeholders, distributed employees, and IT vendors.
- Provide technical leadership and team management for diverse technology teams across multiple locations.
- Apply secure coding, web security, concurrency, database development, and distributed-systems practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in technology or a related field from a reputed engineering college.
- 15–18 years of related technology and domain experience.
- Extensive Core Java experience developing low-latency, high-throughput, multithreaded and event-driven systems.
- Strong experience with Java Spring, J2EE, web services, database design and modeling, SQL, PL/SQL, and ORM tools.
- Experience with Kafka, MQ/JMS, JMS/JTA, enterprise application servers, distributed systems, fault-tolerant applications, and highly available applications.
- Experience with JavaScript and client-side technologies including React.js, AngularJS, jQuery, and CSS.
- Experience with JUnit, Mockito or similar mocking frameworks, test-driven development, CI/CD, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud development.
- Experience with Agile development and enterprise application development across geographically distributed teams.
- Ability to lead architecture, design, development, testing, support, stakeholder coordination, and overall delivery accountability.
- Experience managing diversified teams or distributed workforces and demonstrating communication, analytical, problem-solving, relationship-building, and change-leadership skills.
- Experience with FX or equity electronic trading platforms is preferred, particularly high-frequency algorithmic trading platforms.
- Knowledge of FIX, SWIFT, and other financial integration protocols is preferred; GCC experience is also preferred.
