Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain GCP-based data pipelines integrating business applications and data sources.
- Build and deploy AI/ML models and data products using Vertex AI, BigQuery ML, Gemini APIs, and related GCP services.
- Develop batch, micro-batch, and streaming data transformations using Python, SQL, and PySpark.
- Implement pipeline orchestration, CI/CD, automated deployments, cloud monitoring, testing, and observability.
- Perform data-quality checks and root-cause analysis, then implement reliable long-term solutions.
- Support business stakeholders with data requirements, analytics insights, and reporting needs.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to coding standards, automation, and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- 4–7 years of overall experience, including at least 3 years in Data Engineering or Cloud AI.
- Graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- Hands-on expertise with BigQuery, Vertex AI, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Composer, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and Bigtable.
- Experience building and operationalizing AI/ML models in GCP using Vertex AI, BigQuery ML, or Generative AI APIs.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, with familiarity with PySpark for large-scale data transformations.
- Strong understanding of batch, micro-batch, and streaming data pipeline architectures.
- Experience with GitHub, Cloud Build, Jenkins, version control, and CI/CD workflows.
- Proficiency in Linux shell scripting and automation.
- Good-to-have experience with Gemini APIs, Model Garden, Dataplex, dbt, enterprise integration patterns, event-driven architectures, Looker, or Power BI.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-collaboration skills in cross-functional, global teams.
