Base Salary
$97k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead technical design and implementation of full-stack software capabilities spanning backend services, APIs, and web user interfaces.
- Build scalable service-oriented and microservices-based systems using Java, Python, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Define secure integration patterns, service contracts, and data exchanges across distributed systems.
- Guide code reviews, software testing, technical documentation, and secure-development practices.
- Resolve complex software and integration issues across development, test, and deployment environments.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to software engineers.
- Coordinate technical dependencies with partner teams and contribute to delivery planning and execution.
- Travel up to 15% to support program and customer requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree and at least 4 years of related experience, or at least 10 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Active Secret Security Clearance.
- Production software development experience with Java, Python, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Experience with full-stack application design, distributed-system integrations, service contracts, APIs, asynchronous messaging, or microservices.
- Experience leading technical design, code reviews, automated testing, and software-delivery activities.
- Preferred experience with C/C++, Rust, Go, GTK, Qt, Kubernetes, Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, ZeroMQ, or NATS.
- Preferred experience applying UI/UX principles, improving CI/CD workflows, and defining technical approaches for complex full-stack applications.
