Responsibilities
- Develop basic to moderately complex code using front-end and back-end programming languages across multiple platforms.
- Design program specifications and develop, analyze, modify, test, debug, validate, document, and maintain applications.
- Create application implementation plans, deliverables, and corrective measures for code deficiencies.
- Participate in client-facing meetings, joint venture discussions, and vendor partnership teams to determine solution approaches.
- Support business and infrastructure application standards, controls, procedures, monitoring, compliance, and data accuracy.
- Apply Payment Card Industry security compliance requirements.
- Prepare basic billable-hour and resource estimates for initiatives, projects, and issues.
- Assist with on-the-job training and provide guidance to other software engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Typically at least 4 years of professional experience coding, designing, developing, and analyzing data.
- Advanced knowledge of one or more front-end or back-end languages and moderate understanding of the corresponding other layer.
- Experience with two or more modern enterprise programming languages, APIs, external services, relational databases, and NoSQL databases.
- Six or more years of professional experience and IBM Rational Tools experience are preferred.
- Knowledge of relevant operating systems, databases, back-end and front-end technologies, web frameworks, development tools, mobile development, and machine learning technologies.
- Ability to resolve a wide range of issues, work independently with general direction, evaluate data, select solution methods, and communicate with senior internal and external personnel.
