Responsibilities
- Develop, design, debug, test, implement, validate, maintain, and document applications throughout the software development life cycle.
- Develop basic to moderately complex code using front-end and back-end languages across multiple platforms.
- Create program specifications, analyze application and database interactions, and support multiple projects and issues.
- Perform code analysis, unit testing, validation, corrective measures, and documentation for application changes.
- Participate in client-facing meetings, joint-venture discussions, and vendor partnership teams to determine solution approaches.
- Support the design, development, and enforcement of application standards, controls, procedures, monitoring, compliance, and data accuracy.
- Apply application standards related to Payment Card Industry security compliance.
- Prepare basic billable-hour and resource estimates for initiatives, projects, and issues.
- Assist with on-the-job training and provide guidance to other software engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business/Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least four years of professional experience in coding, designing, developing, and analyzing data.
- Advanced knowledge of one or more front-end or back-end languages and moderate understanding of the corresponding technology.
- Experience with two or more modern enterprise programming languages, APIs, external services, and both relational and NoSQL databases.
- Preferred: six or more years of professional coding, design, development, and data-analysis experience.
- Preferred: experience with IBM Rational Tools.
- Knowledge of applicable operating systems, databases, back-end and front-end technologies, web frameworks, development tools, mobile development, and machine-learning technologies.
