Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and modernize enterprise applications.
- Assess legacy applications and determine whether functionality should be refactored, rebuilt, replaced, or migrated.
- Design and develop APIs, services, integrations, reusable application components, and modern application architectures.
- Build AI-enabled applications, workflows, assistants, agents, and automation solutions using LLM APIs and AI platforms.
- Integrate AI capabilities into business applications and connect AI solutions to approved enterprise data sources.
- Implement prompting, tool/function calling, validation, human review, logging, monitoring, access control, and failure handling for AI solutions.
- Investigate defects and production issues, identify root causes, and drive issues to resolution.
- Create automated and manual tests, support DEV, TEST/UAT, and PROD releases, and define rollback or recovery approaches.
- Maintain technical documentation and clear status, estimates, blockers, risks, and target dates.
- Collaborate with business analysis, project management, database/data, infrastructure, application, security, and support teams.
Requirements
- Solid enterprise software development experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, and Python.
- Experience with modern application architecture, legacy application modernization, API design and integration, REST APIs, web services, SQL, and relational databases.
- Experience with object-oriented application development, Git/source control, CI/CD, application deployment, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, testing, and release management.
- Experience with secure application development and integrating third-party systems and services.
- Experience with several AI capabilities, including LLM APIs, AI application development, AI agents, prompt engineering, tool/function calling, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, vector search or embeddings, AI workflow automation, enterprise AI integration, and AI evaluation and validation.
- Preferred experience with Microsoft technology environments, Azure, AWS, enterprise application modernization, healthcare or skilled nursing environments, internal business applications, large legacy application conversions, application and database integrations, Jenkins, Microsoft Power Platform, and the Copilot ecosystem.
