Responsibilities
- Design and develop distributed, scalable, high-performance containerized microservice applications.
- Maintain high design and code quality through reviews.
- Monitor production issues assigned to Engineering and ensure compliance with support SLAs.
- Lead live troubleshooting with support, SRE, and other teams.
- Develop workarounds, quick fixes, hot fixes, and production patches using software development skills.
- Build and support applications using databases, search, caching, REST APIs, event streaming, Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of hands-on experience designing and developing enterprise-class solutions using Java; PHP experience is preferred.
- Strong professional experience in application development.
- Good understanding of relational databases such as Oracle and NoSQL databases, preferably Cassandra.
- Experience with Elasticsearch and caching technologies such as Redis or Memcached.
- Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and application design.
- Experience developing web applications using REST APIs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to understand customer issues.
- Ability to create innovative workarounds or solutions for customer problems.
- Experience in cloud security and vulnerability management is desirable.
- Experience with Kafka event streaming and developing microservices deployed as containers is desirable.
