Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy applications in a cloud-hosted distributed system.
  • Build product capabilities that support scientific researchers transferring manuscripts for publication.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify requirements and gather feedback.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions supporting system stability and performance.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to improve the delivery process.
  • Partner with cross-functional Agile and DevOps implementation teams.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate proficiency in most of Java, JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks such as React and Angular, and SQL, with willingness to learn additional technologies.
  • Have some experience with a version control system such as Git.
  • Have experience using a modern IDE such as IntelliJ or VS Code and refactoring tools.
  • Have some experience with test-driven development and mocking libraries such as Jest and Mockito.
  • Be familiar with collaborative documentation tools including Jira and Confluence.
  • Have knowledge of Agile practices and execution, including Scrum or Kanban.
  • Have desirable familiarity with AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Codex, or Antigravity.
  • Be willing to learn about agentic software development and continue developing technical skills.
