Responsibilities
- Develop forwarding software for next-generation access, aggregation, metro, and mobile backhaul networking platforms.
- Collaborate with product management, system teams, and solution test teams to deliver high-quality products and solutions.
- Provide engineering assistance to the Juniper Technical Assistance Team for critical customer escalations.
- Design, debug, and troubleshoot networking datapath software, including analysis of core files and customer or complex lab issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Approximately 8–15 years of experience, preferably with a router or switch company.
- Knowledge of router and switch architecture and experience in forwarding software design and development.
- Experience in one or more of L3 forwarding, MPLS/L3VPN, L2VPN, EVPN, SR-MPLS, SRv6, or GRE.
- Understanding of system architecture for network processor-based products.
- Strong coding, debugging, and core file analysis skills.
- Experience with Broadcom ASICs such as Qumran or Jericho is highly desirable.
- Experience troubleshooting customer network deployments or complex lab topologies is a plus.
- Strong understanding of computer architecture, data structures, and programming practices is desirable.
