$170k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement Kafka-based streaming applications and enterprise-scale real-time data solutions.
- Build scalable, high-performance, low-latency data pipelines using Kafka Streams, Flink, or similar streaming technologies.
- Design cloud-enabled workloads using appropriate placement strategies and capabilities such as elasticity, serverless computing, and containerization.
- Incorporate security, resilience, risk, capacity, and cost considerations into solution architecture.
- Support operational teams with fault finding and performance issue resolution.
- Prepare architecture, privacy, security, and records-management governance artifacts.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, business stakeholders, and other specialists to deliver strategic outcomes.
- Influence technical direction, contribute to policy and control improvements, and guide team members or lead collaborative assignments.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering Kafka-based streaming applications in complex enterprise environments.
- Established coding experience with Java and Python for high-performance, scalable solutions.
- Deep experience building real-time data pipelines with Kafka Streams, Flink, or similar technologies.
- Strong understanding of high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems and platform resilience.
- Ability to collaborate with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver strategic outcomes.
- Experience with NoSQL and modern data platforms such as MongoDB or ClickHouse is highly valued.
- Exposure to AI/ML system design, data-driven solution development, Spring Boot, and middleware-based architectures is highly valued.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence technical direction.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery models is valued.

- Base salary range is $170,000 to $230,000, excluding other compensation and benefits.
