Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases and scripts for functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
- Create automated tests for recurring scenarios and critical product workflows.
- Analyze requirements, specifications, and user stories to ensure adequate test coverage.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution while supporting root cause analysis.
- Validate features, enhancements, bug fixes, and release candidates across web, mobile, APIs, and platform applications.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and release readiness discussions.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to improve test strategies, environments, and release quality.
- Maintain test documentation, test data, and traceability between requirements and test coverage.
- Support API, database, and end-to-end testing and contribute to QA process, automation framework, and testing-standard improvements.
- Mentor junior test engineers and provide guidance on test execution, defect documentation, and quality practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- 2–4 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or software development.
- Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle and software testing lifecycle.
- Experience designing and executing manual and automated tests using AI tools such as Claude and/or Copilot.
- Familiarity with test automation tools or frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or Azure DevOps.
- Preferred familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
- Preferred basic knowledge of SQL, databases, and client-server or microservices architecture.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities collaboratively.
