Responsibilities
- Understand project goals and requirements, identify gaps and testing impediments, and anticipate high-risk areas.
- Develop and maintain test plans, test strategies, test cases, and test results.
- Perform manual, functional, end-to-end, regression, smoke, and web services testing.
- Drive test automation initiatives using scripting, automation frameworks, and testing tools.
- Create defect reports, track defects to resolution, and provide timely test updates to management.
- Collaborate with development, business, and other teams to understand requirements and resolve quality issues.
- Follow QA processes and standards and establish collaborative relationships across project teams.
- Apply people-management skills to manage conflicts, increase productivity, hire talent, and support employee growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
- 4 to 6 years of software testing experience.
- Strong background in manual and functional QA testing.
- Expertise in scripting languages, logical implementations, automation, frameworks, and testing tools.
- Knowledge of SQL and Oracle queries.
- Experience preparing test plans and strategy documents, gathering requirements, and writing test cases.
- Experience with web services testing and formal software test design techniques.
- Experience with functional, end-to-end, regression, and smoke testing.
- Ability to report and track testing defects using a defect management tool.
- Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Exposure to security and performance testing is preferred.
- Experience managing conflicts, increasing productivity, hiring, and growing talent is preferred.
