Base Salary
$150k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and execution of critical backend work streams.
- Scale the API platform with multi-tenant isolation and performance goals.
- Partner with leadership to align product direction with backend architecture.
- Design and implement customer-defined CRM schemas without compromising performance.
- Manage complex projects from data model to API ergonomics.
- Own the abstractions for the engineering team.
- Provide design leadership, code reviews, and technical mentorship.
- Contribute to hiring strong technical talent.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in building and scaling backend systems.
- Experience in technical leadership roles such as tech lead or staff engineer.
- Proven ownership of architecture for product-facing systems.
- Experience leading large, ambiguous projects end-to-end.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases, preferably Postgres.
- Experience designing and shipping APIs or platform-level systems.
- Background in multi-tenant SaaS at scale.
- Strong product instincts and a focus on customer impact.
- Ability to enhance the skills of fellow engineers through mentorship.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.
