Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and enhance virtual laboratory software solutions for flight control, communication, and mission-system testing.
- Develop virtual lab topologies covering compute, storage, networking, hypervisors, and container orchestration.
- Create infrastructure-as-code automation scripts for provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management.
- Build or integrate device emulation layers that expose virtual instruments through standard protocols.
- Implement audit logging to meet security and compliance requirements.
- Create CI/CD pipelines for delivery of lab images, updates, and patches.
- Produce design diagrams, standard operating procedures, and user guides, and train lab administrators.
- Work with domain experts to convert experimental procedures into reproducible virtual workflows.
Requirements
- Principal level requires a BS in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related experience, an MS and 3 years, or a STEM PhD and 1 year.
- Senior Principal level requires a BS in a STEM discipline and 8 years of related experience, an MS and 6 years, or a STEM PhD and 4 years.
- An active US Government Secret or higher clearance is required, with a qualifying recent background investigation or enrollment in Continuous Evaluation.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program clearance is required.
- Willingness and ability to obtain RHCSA certification is required.
- Experience with Git or similar version control systems is required.
- Experience working across Windows and Linux environments, including distributions such as RHEL, Debian, or Ubuntu, is required.
- Preferred qualifications include systemd, hypervisors and virtual machines, HIL/SIL testing, firewalls and reverse proxies, OS automation, DOD STIG implementation, and an active Top Secret clearance.
