Base Salary
$164k - $226k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and optimize Upstart’s machine learning and simulation platform.
- Develop high-quality software applications for machine learning models.
- Modernize serving infrastructure to reduce inference latency.
- Design simulation systems to accurately reflect production environments.
- Communicate with cross-functional partners to keep stakeholders informed.
- Mentor engineers on distributed systems and scalable architecture.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience, particularly with Machine Learning Platforms.
- Experience in building and maintaining backend software services and APIs.
- Proficiency in Python, Kotlin, Databricks, and AWS.
- Exhibit a growth mindset and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Ability to translate complex requirements for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Track record of mentoring and developing other engineers.
