Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems for regulatory needs.
- Design and implement large-scale, distributed, cloud-native systems with high reliability and performance requirements.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple teams and shape system architecture and long-term technology direction.
- Partner with architects and product leaders to define platform roadmaps and shared-services strategy.
- Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions.
- Mentor engineering community members and senior engineers while supporting professional development.
- Stay current with technology trends, experiment with emerging technologies, and participate in internal and external technology communities.
- Lead cross-functional engineering efforts and large-scale technical initiatives.
- Establish coding standards, design patterns, observability practices, and reliability practices across teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, 9+ years coding with multiple listed languages, and 5+ years contributing to open-source frameworks.
- Preferred experience includes front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, synchronous and asynchronous APIs, databases, cloud platforms, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, and Git-based version control.
- Preferred experience includes troubleshooting cloud environments, mentoring senior engineers, leading architecture reviews, influencing technical standards and strategy, and implementing observability and reliability practices at scale.
- Experience with modern AI-based coding tools, interactive AI productivity tooling, and enterprise-scale technical initiatives is preferred.
